Looking Forward to 2025
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been in community with several different folks from different education spheres. Despite what some pundits think of our collectives and our mission, we’re not floundering in the moment. I see folks who’ve become even more engaged and ready to do the work in their schools with students and communities.
As we’ve learned over the years, hope isn’t a vacuous sentiment, but a set of actions we do in community with others. If you’re working in education, hope is always in the passenger seat as we drive. Regardless and because of what’s happening around us, we may not see it all clearly, but we’re emboldened in our visions.
Our futures are intertwined, never truly separate. Let’s do this together. Happy holidays to those who celebrate and to a wonderful rest of your year!

Know Your Rights (A Resource)
The New York Immigration Coalition in collaboration with the Center for Urban Pedagogy created a Know Your Rights poster that’s worth sharing with everyone in your circle. If you’re in a school, this feels especially pertinent. If you’re not in the New York area, EduColor is developing a resource page to bring these different resource guides together. In the meantime, check this out!
The sad news is that many of our digital community gathering has been slowed down by multi-billionaires’ ego trips on social media. The good news is that we’re not letting that slow us down. If anything, we’re building up. We sincerely hope you’ll join our community of educators, families, and concerned citizens from across the country.
It’s growing quickly and your contributions are tax-deductible! Come through!
